I would use this in a Kindergarten guidance lesson...a review (introduction for some!) on manners and a good starting point for character education.
ReplyDeleteI would use this book as a lesson during Morning Meeting. I run a program for emotionally handicapped children and am also the counselor for the program. This would be a great message and fun way to send that message to my students who often need a few extra reminders on "spreading sweetness!"
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this book!! Practice makes perfect so I whole-heartedly believe that this book is beneficial for children of all ages!! I am a mommy to a 22 month old and a 4 month old, and an elementary school counselor (who has really resisted buying this book with hopes that I might win a copy!!) who could use this in my pre-K classroom counseling lessons! Just today that class asked me why I love reading them books and for a few seconds I had to think about it---first, I love seeing them enthralled in the story! I love the ideas that pop into their heads when they are read to! Second, I love building a stronger relationship with them by spending the time reading together! And finally, I don't know if they are being read to at home so me reading to them for even 20 minutes can help boost up many of the academic benefits of reading!! My kids at school and at home would greatly benefit from this awesome book so if I do not win it, I will be purchasing it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the FANTASTIC post! This information is really good and thanks a ton for sharing it :-)
ReplyDeleteI m looking forward desperately for the next post of yours.
